I listened to a panel of speakers a couple of weeks ago

On vaccines. They were all asked if one is approved this fall when it would be available to the non essential general public. The earliest response was next July. The other three said third quarter of next year.

Many estimates say the list of “essential” folks could number as high as 100mm people. That seems crazy high but it’s likely those folks will get the vaccine first and that’s a huge number of vaccines to produce. Refrigeration capacity currently is well below what is needed.
