When a pro wins consistently for ~10yrs, thats a sure sign. 15 is greatness


20 years is legendary level.

A bucketfull of majors (like for bobby jones or old/young tom morris) is another discriminant.

The evolution of the ball and clubs has certainly changed things, course wise. It would be fun to watch a tournament where they play persimmon woods, forged blade irons with lofts circa 1965, and wound balls/balata. Stick them on the same tees jack, arnie, gary, lee, ben hogan, etc played from....see how they do.
