Eye Dr. ?: No doubt I can't see as well anymore. I went to an eye dr & the

tech or asst. or whatever put me through all the vision tests and I did much better on them than I thought I would. Zipped through them. Tech even said I might have the best vision he's seen "for someone your age." Unintended zinger, but still. Then he dilates my eyes and leaves. Alleged dr. comes in, puts me through the same vision tests again and the click thing where you tell what's better and I can't see very well at all b/c my eyes are dilated. She tells me I need bifocals and sends me out to their sales person. Now, I think I need glasses but I was very skeptical about how this went down so I told the sales person I wasn't buying anything. She says "fine" and walks off. I go the counter, the person there tells me their done w/ me and I can go. Well, I went there alone and my eyes are dilated. I sat in my car for awhile until I thought it was better but it had gotten dark. Driving home, headlights looked like a Star Wars space battle scene.

After all that, is that how it actually works? I hadn't been to an eye doctor in years maybe decades, but I don't remember my eye test taken after dilation.
