Day 1 of school done. There's no way I don't lose my voice.


Trying to talk through a mask and then my class mic wont hold a charge so my voice is shot. I also can't hear a word the kids say. I have to go over to them every time they talk and lean down so I can hear them.
Good news is all my kiddo's got home safely. My kid with diabetes didn't have any episodes, my class runner didn't try to run away today, my one with cochlear implants could hear me, and everyone had a good day.
The transition between the AM and PM groups was crazy. I have a 15min lunch duty the kids finally were all out of the room at 12:20, I had to wipe down my room, get to lunch duty from 12:30 -12:45, and the next group of kids starts coming in at 12:45. So eating lunch is not in the equation.
After spending the day doing that and trying to get 2nd graders to be able to log into their Chromebooks and Google Classroom, I'm wiped out.
The "good" news is we get to do our day long Anti Racism training tomorrow.
