My hitting coach in the minors played for the Senator’s

Jim Lemon. He got hurt in the army and was never the same. I learned more about hitting from him than I had learned my whole life. He was the only player to hit three HRs off Whitey Ford in one game. I’m glad I was smart enough to take time and listen to his stories. He was in his 60s when I met him and was still amazing hitting a baseball.
