We are the second owners of this house and the original owner put the old school 2" wide oak hardwood boards on about 75% of the main level but there were still three rooms with carpet. Basically since we moved in we wanted to get hardwood throughout and change to wider plank boards so when this opportunity came up and we have about $20k of 'house money' we decided to do it now. Between that and repainting the entire level it will look like a new house when we are done.
