The head coach in hockey gets too much of the blame when they lose and too much credit when they win. Yes the Islanders are a better coached team but I don’t think the Caps would have won the series if Trotz had been coaching. Carlson was playing hurt, Backstrom was dealing with a concussion. I am a Caps fan and they sure go through the coaches. I don’t know what the answer is but everyone is to blame from the players to the coaches to management to the owner. At least they got one cup during the Ovechkin era.
