To me, the "hidden" story is lack of consequences in our Legal system


Given his legal history -- how exactly does somebody get convicted of a crime in America? Because he's been trying for years, with very few convictions.

And how does USA have about 2.3M prisoners, given all the convictions that *don't* lead to prison? Seems a significant amount only result in probation and/or community service.

And who is paying all the court fees & fines? Only the suckers? Almost impossible to read a crime story without "still owes hundreds from old convictions."
