Could be Remdesivir. Gilead is trialing an inhaled version.


If that stuff was easier (cheaper) to manufacture and didn't require an IV, we'd be mostly back to normal. We'd be able to administer it early, where it would be much more effective (like Tamiflu and all other antivirals). Unfortunately it takes forever to make and can only be administered in the hospital, so only people that are really sick get it.
