Most professional tree services would know if they could sell the logs


and may consider that in the price for the work. Here in CT, there is a market for white oak logs for pallet lumber and to a lesser extent for equipment trailer decks. If I remember correctly, the typical log length is 16 ft., so you probably don't have more than 3 logs in that tree. A sawmill is not going to send out a log truck to pick up 2 or 3 logs, so it comes down to whether your tree service has the means to transport the logs to the sawmill. If the tree service has to hire/rent a log truck, it won't be worthwhile.

I did a deal a number of years ago were a tree service took down a very large tree in my front yard in return for selectively logging about 12 acres of my wooded property.
