He's definitely smart, has a massive ego, and he's a bit shady/crooked (hedge fund guy after all). If he were to get the team (no small "if" there), I'm not sure if he would be (a) smart enough to just hire someone to run the baseball side of it, and then be happy signing checks, or if (b) his ego would be such that he felt the need to get involved (i.e. a Dan Snyder situation).

For a little while it sounded like that Sixers/Devils ownership group was going to be bidding heavily, but I haven't looked recently to see the latest gossip. It's the Mets, and the Wilpons are still involved, so I'm sure it will be a disaster.
