Did they graft just in the socket or along the ridge in anticipation of an


implant? If just in the socket it should have been reasonably comfortable all along unless you got a dry socket, most common on lower back molars. Those heal but can be a bit uncomfortable for a while. If its a graft on the ridge to augment for an implant they can be achy (sp) for a while. At least you don't have an achy break heart.
