The questions that you should be asking: is the contractor going to


prosecute your job in a timely manner, according to code, with zero-to-minimum change order costs, and quality of workmanship? Up until Covid, good contractors were really busy, w/ many having a backlog of work. Now, not so much- some are reporting that clients have postponed or cancelled altogether. I’m renovating my parents’ house in FFX Station (around the corner from FfxStationHokie) and I selected my contractor based solely on his customer feedback. But as an architect, I’m in a better position to supervise than the average homeowner, plus I’m saving money by purchasing materials myself.
