I remember when Cody Gardner wiped the mats with David Marone

The coaches convinced Cody to come back in and work with David. Cody was just smashing him in the room. The coaches pulled Cody aside and were like "hey let David get a take down or two to build his confidence so he can make this post season run". Cody Gardner literally said "yeah, No" and just went back to thrashing David. Was one of the funniest responses I've ever heard given the situation.

Keep in mind, Marone ended up helping us win the ACC title that year by winning that match in the ACC tournament over the UVA kid Pagia-something another 8-0.
