To some of these kids graduation

May be a big deal. Many of the kids aren’t from high achieving backgrounds so for some of them and their families this might be their “graduation” ceremony. My kids will have college but not all these kids will. To their parents this might be a bigger deal. 50 percent of the school is free and reduced lunch. Some will be first gen graduates and likely headed places other than college. I understand your position and i am sure some folks decided not to partake.
