Have to wonder how many nursing/elder deaths could've been prevented
Some decisions (New York, sending Covid patients *back* to the nursing home) were clearly mistakes.
However, as with everything --- at some point, it becomes a matter of money & resources.
We could eliminate a large % of the Covid deaths (and heck, all sorts of communicable disease) if we simply provided every Senior Citizen with their own half-acre, single family house. Plus a live-in nurse, and dedicated doctor.
But that's not practical. To a certain extent, the "unwanted" & financially-limited elders are always going to be housed in high-density situations, sharing their medical care/attention with dozens (hundreds?) of other residents.
