I get your logic and certainly comparing % positive in mid-March...


...to % positive in mid-May is probably unhelpful. And rest assured nobody has hyped the value of dramatically increased testing *including* random population testing more than me on this board over the past month. But within the context of any period of time during which testing is following a basically consistent approach, % positive is absolutely a very valuable metric. I mean don't take it from me, I'm nobody. This is what the epidemiologists have been saying.

No question it would be even more valuable if we were testing more like 1-2M/day nationally with a big chunk of that randomly chosen. You are absolutely correct about that.
