I hope this experience confirms one thing. Remote "Learning" for K-12

is a total and complete FAILURE. Kids at that age needs structure defined by the school environment, and interaction with human teachers. Khan academy and other electronic resources are fine as supplements and to reinforce what has been taught, but the classroom is a MUST.

Both my kids are good students, but one is just not good at self paced learning; he doesnt have the life skills yet to build and drive his own success. The other one does, but learns better through human interaction. That interaction is now exclusively through Me; so Im home schooling along with all the other stuff I have to do as a parent and head of HH.
