There are simple biological truths when it comes to viruses

I think they reference some of it. I know I learned it in high school biology. Animals/humans get sick from time to time. Its an unavoidable fact. But by the miracle of our creation, the human body has built in defense mechanisms in its immune system. Our bodies are wired to beat pretty much every virus or bacteria if given time.

I agree that shutting things down for the past month was a wise move to prevent uncontrollable numbers of sick people. But sheltering in place is not a long term strategy to avoid getting sick. Bio 101 says you're going to catch a rampant worldwide virus at some point. Its like the chicken pox 40 year ago. Its never if, but when will you get sick.

The epidemiology of covid-19 once its fully mapped out will be interesting. Could a virus spread to every corner of the globe in two or three months? What were its pathways to spread across all six continents that quickly? But I digress.

The docs in this video make the connections between biology, economics and civics. Neither the world or US economy was build on the idea you hunker down in your home for weeks or months when you're afraid to get sick. You press on, buy drugs, take a sick day or two at the peak of the sickness, but then you get back to doing what you do to earn a living.

We are able to do that because the human immune system is equipped to heal itself. That is what these docs are saying.
