Not that simple.
If you notice, no one in NYC is clamoring to open the economy. If this thing was allowed to run free similar occurrences would have happened in every city. I tried to argue this weeks ago when the data came out of Italy.
Government response is not to blame for the economy completely. Ie restaurants, bars, and malls will suffer attendance as long as there is a threat of contracting a deadly virus. If you overwhelm the hospitals like what has happened in nyc, that spokes people even more.
The answer is human ingenuity to come up with new and better ways to do business rather than thinking this is all caused by government restrictions and forcing the old ways.
