ACC High Impact Freshmen

UNC had the best class and it shows. NC State and VT were both very solid as well, but with experienced line ups, less likely to have a true freshman crack the lineup. Here's what I can find, without paid memberships. Couldn't find any ranked seniors heading to Pitt or Duke. UVA has 1 ranked #10 by Intermat at 132# Patrick Noonan. NC State -Ryan Jack #7/#8 (yes,Kevin's brother ) 138, maybe could come in and challenge Trombly at 133. Ed Scott #2/#3 at 152, not going to come in and challenge Hayden, but could he help at 149, maybe. They also have ranked guys coming in at 125 and 170 but again they probably don't challenge starters this year. Unc has the consensus #1 145 pound sr, Lachlan Mcneil but also established starters at 141 and 149. Sonny Santiago #3/#4 at 152 might could see immediate time at 157. Gavin Kane #6/#5 at 182, come meet Hunter if you dare. Also Cade Lautt #2/#4 at the tweener 220 lb. weight, going up or going down? Most of us already know what we have, so I'm not going to rehash that. Right now, I'm thinking Hillegas and Ulrey have the best chance at competing for a spot but the best is Catka, who will probably redshirt.
Rankings were from Open Mat and Intermat.
