As I was sitting around our waiting area in Flight Ops for jumpseaters, waiting for my ride home, I sat with my laptop (Its a MacBookPro, btw 😎👍🏻) grading out my student's flight from last night. Normally I hang out in Flight Ops proper, and chit chat all the bubbas that I haven't seen in awhile, or duck my head into my boss's office just to say hey. But today, there I sat, laptop in lap, wearing my Hokie ball cap and one of our female pilots walks by on the way to her ride home and says "I went to Virginia Tech too, Go Hokies". That was a first. I have met or know of about about dozen or so other Hokie FedEx pilots, but never met a Lady Hokie FedEx pilot. I thought that was pretty cool. It would have been an HR event if I had asked her for an unshun picture, so no shunning!! 😉
