I thought the same thing. I was a slacker in high school so I know I would
have read that and been like, "Sweet....I'm done."
This policy was just announced so I'm sure there are lots of questions to answer. I know the talk all along is that we can't punish a student that doesn't have the support at home to get work done. It's a tricky situation for sure. Do you punish a 3rd grader that has no internet access and parents don't help them understand their work or won't bother to send it back in? But at the same time, you want to give credit to students like my daughter in 5th grade who is going above and beyond in her work.
