so I was in procrastination mode until a little while ago today. Long story short, one of the switches was neither up nor down. The complication here is that these lights are controlled at five different toggle switches (I think, I need to complete mapping out my fuse box) and was getting ready to figure out how the heck that works and the lights being mini chandeliers so not looking forward to pulling those out looking for a loose (or is that lose?) wire.

Anyway, achievement for the day was simply to get going and voila it wasn't near the problem that I had conjured up in my mind and the mid-sized project for the day is dealt with.
