Actually not true.


The reason researchers started looking at it was because they noticed people with certain medical conditions didn't seem to be getting coronavirus (rheumatoid arthritis and lupus patients). Upon closer examination, they discovered it was mainly those patients taking hydroxychloroquine to treat those diseases. So possibility is certainly there that it could provide a "protective" effect. Note...no one is advocating this approach obviously. Nor should they...
