No, he actually did wrestle at 149 while dropping down to 141.


After weighing in at 149 at the Hokie Open, Carter couldn't immediately compete at 141 because NCAA rules didn't allow him to cut 8 pounds that quickly. So during the next month, he was weighing in at 147 or 145 or 143 while still competing at 149. By the time CKLV came around, he was allowed to compete at 141 (lost to Logan Steiber in the finals) with Sal taking over at 149.
