I assume if they did it, they can't just give it to seniors.

Freshman - Seniors who qualified for NCAA's would all get an extra year if they wanted it. That would add up quick for schools budgets.

Bare minimum I think they should let guys with red shirts available (Mitch) have the option of counting this as their redshirt year if they want to.
