The fact that we are starting to cancel events is absurd. How many dire-hard fans go to sporting events sickly? Walk around the parking lots at VT in November for a game. How many are coughing away? How about trade shows or conferences where unless you are on deaths doorstep, your attendance is expected. How many people are flying around the US and the World for business, have it and don’t know about it because they haven’t visited a doctor and their symptoms are mild or non-existent. I know there is a petition going around to post phone or cancel the furniture market in High Point, NC. Big economic draw for the area but people literally don’t want anyone coming especially since it attracts the international crowd. Where do you draw the line? What is reasonable vs unreasonable?

I really think we need to promote good hygiene and simple solutions as washing our hands and covering our mouths when sneezing/coughing (which are all things we should be doing anyway) and focusing our efforts on protecting high risk people.
