I am not trying to argue, but it would have been possible

for AT to have faced 43 or more hitters in a row without giving up a base hit and not throw back to back no hitters. Hypothetically, take a 3 game stretch of 7 inning games. If the pitcher gives up a hit (or multiple hits) in the first inning of the first game, but no more in innings 2-7, then throws a no hitter in the 2nd game, then in the 3rd game does not give up a hit till the 7th inning, then that pitcher would have faced more than 43 consecutive batters without giving up a base hit. It’s really not important, but I like to try to use my noggin sometimes. Keely’s accomplishment is tremendous and I hope she and Tech dominate this year.
