I really REALLY don't understand why this is becoming a thing


Is the "float" a company can make by delaying paying its bills really worth having an antagonistic relationship with all your vendors?

The owner of the first company I worked for out of college was very vocal about his philosophy. We. Will. Treat. Our. Vendors. Well! Because sooner or later, we will need them to bail us out.

He was right.

Just because you can squeeze a couple drops of extra revenue on your spreadsheet doesn't mean its a good business decision.
