Two autobids MAYBE.
I could see our conference getting either 1 or two bids here... I don't know the numbers off the top of my head from the other conferences to say for sure, but heavyweight is pretty down across the whole country.
I think second place is Borst's ceiling here, but I've been wrong before. I just don't see how he beats Thomas - he's just like Borst, strong, light and fast, but better. And he's had plenty of experience in big time events (he was either a D2 or JC national champ - I can't remember which).
SO, I think based on the matches and wins, I think Borst gets the 3 seed only because Miller didn't wrestle a full slate.
So Borst will wrestle Niesenbaum in the first match. Next topic.
He will then have Wilson in the semis. I can totally see him beating Wilson. I can totally see him losing Wilson. I think it's a coin flip. So if he wins, he will be in the finals against Thomas and I see him losing that. If he loses, he could have either Miller or Gunning... I couldn't pick those if you paid me to. I don't think it matters either way, if it's two auto bids, I don't see an at large coming from the ACCs, and if it's 1, I don't see anyone other than the runner up getting a bid. There's too many numbers to crunch and I don't have all day, but it's a fairly weak weight class. Not as weak as 197, but weak none the less.
