That will be a chance to see just how much progress the Hokies have made - I am fairly certain that it's a lot.

Over the past few years, it's hard to argue against JMU being the state's premier softball program, but they had a great run of outstanding pitchers - Jailyn Ford and Megan Good are about as good as they come. They have beaten the Hokies 9 out of the last 12 meetings, but we run-ruled them last year (12-0) with Keely's perfect game.

Odicci Alexander is very, very good, and she has been two-time CAA Player of the Year, but I'm not sure she's quite at the level of Ford or Good (but then, very few are). This will be year 3 for Coach Loren LaPorte so it's becoming her team and not Mickey's Dean's. I'm still shocked that they didn't find a way to utilize Kelsey Brown, but man, am I glad she decided to transfer to VT.
