A true facilitator at PG makes a massive difference in CBB

What I mean by that is a player who had rock solid handles and decision making that looks to get others involved but can still score on their own. You bring up last year, which is a prime example of what having a great PG looks like vs having a bunch of versatile players. JRob was a fantastic true PG, looked to pass first but rarely turned the ball over and could break down a defense and score. When he went out, even though our team was full of great players including guys currently collecting NBA paychecks, it still stagnated more often then not on offense and we had to COMPLETELY change our offense and defense.

Having a guy who is just so good playing the PG position allows you to scheme a lot more out of your offense. Our offense is entirely dependent on hot shooting right now because we don't have a guy that is a facilitator first and a scorer second (Bede has no scoring ability apparently). Nolley and Cone would be infinitely more effective if we had a guy who could take a defender off the bounce and make a quick enough decision to try to finish or dish. Bede can do the first part but he always freezes in the lane, nobody else on the team can play that role with decisive and fast passing.
