It has nothing to do with getting better


Even if you “quickly” get out of a leg ride, it can still take 30+ seconds.

Again, there’s a reason it’s done, because it’s easy to gain riding time. If you eliminate riding time and implement parallel stalling on top (I don’t remember when they stopped calling it, but it used to be super common), you’ll see a lot more action or cutting on top and a whole hell of a lot less stalling.
