Recoveries differ to what they do for surgery. You never come back 100%. If disc is impinging on nerve the relief from pain in instantly, but it takes a while to regain flexibility. Core work is the key to recovery.

My last 2 surgeries were out-patient. In about 7am, cut and rip with full anethesia and walking out the door by 2pm. Unreal. Recovery for this last surgery is very slow compared to other 4. Just started on bike and longer distance walks.
