Sometimes I think he's a bit out of step with the athletics fanbase at VT
I think that as far as the fanbase is concerned, football is 90% of Whit Babcock's job. Every university has its culture. Ours is not centered around a competitive directors cup program.
Our people want to go back to having a relevant and respected football program more than they want to have a new baseball park. Football isn't happening but the baseball thing did. Priorities seem out of whack.
It's certainly a great thing when other sports do well, but it's never going to make up for a football program on the decline at Virginia Tech. We are who we are. He needs to get football back on track, and soon, or he can go.
