Not trying to unnecessarily flame anyone including Whit but consider the following.
Much of Whit's popularity came from getting Buzz W. to come here to coach, hiring a seemingly
'hot' young coach in Fuente to come here to coach and energizing the fan base by doing so.
In the last year Buzz left and our basketball program is seemingly, due to no fault of CMY, having to substantially rebuild although not necessarily start over; our football program underwent a staff shake-up due to a poor 2018 season and a better, but not totally satisfying 2019 season, and there is concern about whether Fuente can recruit at the level needed; and, as Chris and Will have pointed out the fundraising approach of the athletic dept. seemingly is faltering. It seems like the program is lacking some momentum.
Should we reassess how good an AD Whit is ?
