I actually see a silver lining in this particular case. That is due to

with the small field at ACC's, the top two wrestlers get byes. The #3 seeded wrestler gets the #6 seed. Which is a good possibility for bonus. The #1 and #2 wrestlers don't have as many opportunities for those extra points. This is part of the reason that NCST has beat us at the ACC tourney in past years.
So there is a bit of a silver lining, at least in this weight classes. Not as much of an advantage in the deeper weight classes.
