She left after the fall semester of her freshman year. I don't know how much a factor Kendyl Brooks was, but I know that Dara Mabrey had a better freshman fall camp than Jones and was ahead of her in the depth chart. Usually when a freshman leaves after one semester, it's more about simply not feeling comfortable (or being unhappy) at their new school. Maybe playing time was a big part of her decision too. Tech has had talented freshmen players leave after one semester way before Kendyl Brooks ever set foot on campus. I remember a talented freshman guard from NOVA, Genesis Parker, who transferred to Cincinnati after one semester at Tech. Now she's a redshirt junior at Butler. Some people are always searching for greener pastures.
