It wasn’t Fields who erred on that last throw
The receiver was in a post route and saw the QB moving up in the pocket... decided to change up to a flag route and broke off his route just as Fields released the ball.
Both those QBs will be going in the first round next year and Fields was making all the throws all over the field. It was more that Day’s offense is built around a short high percentage game that puts the ball in playmakers hands to make plays. CU just played a sound defense and made their tackles after that first quarter. Great game and OSU actually showed up well. CU just hung around and made plays when they needed to.
