Watched "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" last night.

Disappointing. Everyone (but maybe Brad Pitt) seamed to be trying too hard. Even all of the period signage (billboards, store signs, etc.), radio music, and tv shows shown throughout the film were over the top. Nothing was subtle, but I guess that's what Tarantino does.

Instead of watching a story, I felt like I was being sold a story (if that makes sense?).
