It would be a problem if he were continually trying to get to the front headlock, not getting it, and then making no effort to attack the legs. That's not what's happening. In the first two matches, he has routinely gotten to the front headlock with ease, used it to generate a pin (Missouri) and points (Northwestern), and used it to wear down his opponent. Mitch is great in the front headlock position; as long as he's getting to it, I don't think he needs to be handicapping himself by attacking the legs.

And the leg attack against the Northwestern kid wasn't an accident. Mitch hit a high crotch, lifted the kid off his feet, and then transitioned seamlessly to the cradle.

We all want to see what happens this year when he's not getting to the front headlock or not generating offense from it. That's when he needs to mix it up and attack the legs. But finding fault in Mitch's performance so far seems counter-productive.
