Blair has been the Mecca for Prep wrestling for some time. Blair is private and expensive. They do offer "scholarships" to students but it doesn't cover a lot if I remember correctly. Being a private school, they are able to "recruit" and get away with it.
I know several of the bigger name Christiansburg wrestlers of yore were on their radar but $$$$s made it a none starter.
During my years of traveling with Cburg to all the national tourneys, it was always a treat to see those Blair kids compete. Some of the biggest names in wrestling have come through that school
