I would answer: the Beach Boys to B.

My answer to A:

Love Lovie Smith with George Clinton. Totally fits with his silver beard.
I would have never had Addazio (BC) as a James Taylor guy
Love the Wake coach. Love him more now with the Talking Heads
NC State coach with Merle Haggard. LOL.
LOL at the Doc Holliday (Marshall): no favorite act. Dude is in his 70s I think.
Holgersen and Gundy: Prince. Nice.
Tulsa coach had Otis Redding. MTSU the Temptations. Cool.
James Brown for the Syracuse coach. Love it.
Peterson (UW) and Orgeron with: CCR. I didn't see that coming.
Surprised no one had the Beatles.
Or Elvis. In fact, the Memphis coach should be contractually obligated to say Elvis. But he's a Tom Petty Guy.
