My point is that they're all professionals and they get paid to play the

game not sit out. It's not college where you play the backups to get game reps and "take pitty" on the opposing teams. A lot of factors come into play which explain why starters play the whole game - I was just pointing out one factor, which is contract incentives. Another factor is one of the tie breaker rules for divisions is how many points you score - so there's an incentive to score as many points as possible.
