If endorsement money for college athletes becomes law, won't
recruiting just become, in many ways, a simple bidding war? I would assume high school athletes would be getting agents.
The next Zion will have to balance offers from Maryland (Under Armor) and Oregon (Nike) among others.
And where are the Title IX / Women's National Soccer Team folks on this concept? If I'm a regional company looking for exposure, I'm going to want to pay the quarterback, not the goalie for the women's team. Money that would have gone to the athletic department for all sports will now be funneled into the marquee teams I would think.
