Dallas area this weekend - food/activity suggestions?


One of my nephews is getting married near Rockwall, Texas this weekend (just outside Dallas), we'll be in the area Friday through Monday night. I'm looking for suggestions on local restaurants and activities.

Specifically, I'd like to find some brisket, and also some Tex-Mex, and prefer local places over tourist traps. The type of place where they throw hunks of meat and maybe a piece of bread or beans on brown paper, and that's your meal.

Any of your lounge-types have some ideas on where to find the good stuff?
