As a car guy
None. Cars stopped being beautiful and fun about the time of 5mph bumpers, unleaded gas, and cost savings of plastic parts. I think it's true to say that you can't love a car that has a plastic dash. Limiting this thread to cars of 15 years is like asking who is your favorite dentist. Cars should have character, a personality.
The second problem is that most newer cars have giant consoles, dashes and door pods that make it impossible for anybody larger than average size to get into them. At about 6'4" 240 I can comfortably fit in my Alfas from the 50s and 60s. I tried to get in the driver's side of a friend's Miata the other day and could not. I got in the passenger side and could, as long as I did not inhale. She (Yes, it is a girl's car) chuckled as she watched.
So my pick for a fun, reliable convertible:
Now, if only I could afford to buy my '57 back.
