I see Ballast Point is closing their kitchen & bar?! Wow

Every time I went (which includes a goodly number of non-game weekends), the place was packed. And I mean surprisingly packed for being in such a location.

It is a beautiful bar area. Super offerings that one doesn't find in the stores at all. The food I've ordered there was always top-notch. And I'm not even mentioning the insanely great views yet.

I'm shocked. Why would they close? The main $$ has to be from brewing. Okay. But that bar area and kitchen are already constructed and so are a sunk cost. How much could they have been losing with a packed house? Was it mismanaged?

I'm baffled.

Anyone "in the know" as to what happened there?
