You need to record it for a record

We had similar issues with a team from ....well, lets just say, south eastern VA, all travel kids though. I just happened to be video recording the game to help the team watch to learn, etc. 11 year old GIRLS. When on a play, one of their much bigger and talented kids is very aggressive and slide tackles from behind and destroys our forward. I mean, it was UGLY. Ref blows the whistle. Their parents and the coach are going nuts. "You did not wrong. yada yada yada" The ref, does not card this 11 year old (seriously, at that age, don't even know if they carry cards) But he takes the kid aside and explains how dangerous of a play she just made. The entire time, the coach is screaming at the ref. Praising his player. Parents screaming at the ref. And the best part was, I had it all on tape.

We have had similar issues in the past with this team and coach and our kids hated playing against them. Just for the dirty tactics and the constant diving (yes, even at 10, once they got a lead, the kids would lay on the ground rolling around, slowing the game down, knowing it was over in 30 minutes)

Anyhow, when I get home, I post the video of the game like I always do and the parent of our forward was so upset at how the coach was screaming obscenities, and telling his kid to keep playing the way she was, he made the director of our club watch the video. Our director, also agreed and took immediate action and went to the VA Soccer League, and said, "I don't care what you fine my club, but we are not playing that team any more this season (they were scheduled to come play up here) for the safety of our kids."

You have got to get a parent to video record the incident for a reference and let the league handle the situation, because the league office I am certain does not want that kind of atmosphere at that age.

The number one reason kids quit playing, 1. parents. 2. bad coaching.

It's amazing that parents forget their kids are only 12 or whatever.

Hell, 2 years ago at a VA Beach Sand Soccer tournament, a kid got assaulted by an adult because he and another kid were very physical on the pitch, and the parent took exception to it.

I will leave you with this: "Beer is good, people are crazy"
